The name Greenline Homes comes from our mission to provide appreciation and growth for the homeowner and the community. We invest in communities that were once “redlined” and experienced decades of disinvestment. These communities represent some of the best opportunities to build high quality homes that are truly sustainable and attainable. Over the course of almost 23 years in business, we have seen the Chicago communities of Woodlawn and Bronzeville evolve into some of the best places in the country to build new homes for city families.

Climate change is driving a desire for homes that don’t directly burn fossil fuels, homes that are more energy efficient, durable, easy to maintain, and sustainable. We use green building technology to meet these needs. We build net-zero-energy-capable homes that can produce more energy than they consume — through solar energy, high levels of insulation, air sealing, and carefully selected mechanicals and appliances — to deliver a better quality of life and at lower cost for our homeowners and communities.

Our goal is to help families live well and create a better Chicago, one house at a time.

Why Choose Greenline Homes?

Smart, Sustainable, and Future-Ready Homes

Our green homes use sustainable, eco-friendly construction materials and appliances helping you to lower your energy bills, conserve water, enjoy superior indoor air quality, age-in-place, and more.

Fresh Air

Building a tight exterior envelope with properly controlled mechanical ventilation is the ultimate solution for top indoor air quality (IAQ). Energy-efficient ERVs recover heat and moisture according to the season.

All Electric

This is an all-electric home, with no fossil fuels burned in any appliances. It also allows for a more intuitive understanding of net-zero energy without having to make gas to electric energy calculations.

Solar Power

The roofs of many of our homes are filled with 25 photovoltaic solar panels. Over the course of one year, this 8kw rated array is calculated to provide 10.297 megawatt hours (Mwh) of electricity.
